On a 15-minute walk from the Prespa Lake, starting from the eastern side of the coast one can find the villages Ljubojno, Brajcino and Dolno Dupeni. The National Park Pelister is in their closest vicinity. The foreign tourists find the 6-hour-walk to the glacial lake Golemo Ezero most attractive, the lake being in the middle of this national park, at the altitude of 2.200 metres.
The villages are, on one hand, rich in water sources, high and green woods, high peaks, authentic architecture and hospitable people, refreshing Pelister air, and on the other, they are shining from the Prespa sun with its location and natural beauties. These are one of the most beautiful villages in our country, well-organized and designated with more developed tourism sense.
The Village of Kurbinovo, where the famous St. George Monastery is situated welcomes the guests with an impressive view over the lake. The world-known and recognizable fresco of Archangel Gabriel is in this monastery. The Church of St. George has impeccable fresco paintings since 1191 which represents one of the few pearls of the medieval painting in Macedonia.
